Harbourmaster's Offices

Harbourmaster's Offices are official executive agencies of Maritime Offices which have powers with regard to vessel traffic in subardinate ports.

Maritime Offices

Maritime authorities supervised by the Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy. The area of responsibilities of maritime offices are specified in the Act of 21 March 1991 on maritime zones of the Republic of Poland and maritime administration (Journal of Laws of 2003 No. 153, item 1502, as amended).

Inland Navigation Offices (UŻŚ)

They are subordinate to the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy. Their strategic task is to supervise the safety of navigation on inland waterways, including: - supervision of ship traffic, - keeping registers of shipping, - issuing certificates of navigability,

Regional Water Management Boards

State institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Environment, with responsibilities related to maintenance of waters and aquatic equipment and acting as investors in the matters of water management.
