7th Three Marshals’ Cup International Regatta on the Vistula Lagoon coming soon

From June 30th to July 3rd, 2016, the waters of the Vistula Lagoon in the vicinity of Tolkmick and Frombork will hold the 7th Three Marshals' Cup International Regatta. The event will be organized by Gustaw Marek Brzezin, the Warminsko-Mazurskie Province Marshal; Mieczyslaw Struk, the Pomorskie Province Marshal; Nikolai Tsukanov, the Governor of the Kaliningrad Oblast; Andrzej Lemanowicz, the Mayor of Tolkmick; and Malgorzata Wronska, the Mayor of Frombork.

The event, apart from its sports character and promotion of sailing in the border regions of both countries, is also aimed at tightening the relations between the inhabitants of the coastal regions of the Vistula Lagoon in Poland and the Kaliningrad Lagoon in the Kaliningrad Oblast. Over the course of the four days of the sailing celebration, sea shanty concerts, sailors' meetings, and other attractions constituting a part of the evenings with the host cities will be organized.

The official announcement of the results, awards, and commendations of the winners will take place in the Saturday evening around 8 p.m. All the contestants participating in the regatta will be given small prizes, while the three best crews in the group will receive cups and regular prizes.

The Three Marshals' Cup Regatta is a part of the South Baltic Cup. The event will be accompanied by races in the youth group in the Optimists and Laser 4.7 classes.
