Consultation meetings regarding the programme and spatial concepts for the revitalisation of the east-west inland waterway

On 7 July in Malbork and on 19 July in Przysiek near Toruń, consultations were held regarding the emerging programme and spatial concepts for the revitalisation of the east-west inland waterway including the rivers: Oder, Warta and Noteć, the Bydgoszcz Canal, the rivers: Brda, Vistula, Nogat and Szkarpawa and the Vistula Lagoon (planned Polish section of the International Waterway E70).

Workshops on Polish water ways in Bydgoszcz

Problems of rivers' complex utilization is going to be a topic of this year's workshops taking place at Bydgoszcz – Solec Kujawski section. This event is a part of Fourth Bydgoszcz Water Festiwal "COURSE FOR BYDGOSZCZ 53°N, 18°E" program, which will be held from 21 to 23 June on Mill Island in Bydgoszcz.

Meeting of the IWW E70 Cross-Regional Working Team in Bydgoszcz

On 11 June 2010 in Bydgoszcz a meeting of the Working Team for the International Waterway E70 was held. At the meeting, participants discussed the progress of work on the following tasks: strategy for the International Waterway E70, programme and spatial concepts for the revitalisation of the east-west inland waterway, including the rivers: Oder, Warta and Noteć, the Bydgoszcz Canal, the rivers: Brda, Vistula, Nogat and Szkarpawa and the Vistula Lagoon, environmental analysis and the promotion actions regarding the IWW E70.

Agreement to develop programme and spatial concepts for the revitalisation of the east-west inland waterway

In April 2010, another agreement was signed between the voivodeships of Pomorskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Lubuskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Wielkopolskie.

Meeting of the IWW E70 Cross-Regional Working Team in Kadyny

On 8 and 9 March 2010 in Kadyny, Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship, at the meeting of the IWW E70 Working Team, proposals were agreed as to the scope of the feasibility study and promotion activities for the revitalisation of the west-east inland waterway (Oder - Warta - Noteć - Bydgoszcz Canal - Brda - Vistula - Nogat - Vistula Lagoon).

On 5 January 2010 in Bydgoszcz, at a meeting of the IWW E70 Working Team, a plan of action for 2010 was discussed.

IV consultation meeting regarding the Programme and Spatial Concepts of the east-west inland waterways revitalisation, including the rivers: Oder, Warta Noteć, the Bydgoszcz Canal, the rivers: Brda, Vistula, Nogat Szkarpawa the Vistula Lagoon

On 9 and 10 November 2009 in Krynica Morska, the fourth working meeting was held regarding the Programme and Spatial Concepts. At the meeting a film was presented promoting the Polish section of the IWW E70, as well as the project logo and details of a preliminary versions of the programme concepts, environmental analysis and programme strategy.

III consultation meeting in Ląd regarding the Programme and Spatial Concepts of the east-west inland waterways revitalisation

On 13 and 14 October 2009 in the town of Ląd, Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, a working meeting was held for the third time concerning the programme and spatial concepts of the project. Participants discussed the actual preparation of the documents.

On 1 and 2 September 2009 in Toruń, another consultation meeting was held regarding the programme and spatial concepts for the revitalisation of the east-west inland waterway, including the rivers: Oder, Warta, Noteć, Bydgoszcz Canal, Brda, Vistula, Nogat and Szkarpawa and the Vistula Lagoon, as developed by Redan Sp. z o.o. Company (Design and Engineering).

Waterways discussed for the third time in Bydgoszcz

Academics and representatives of local governments met in Bydgoszcz for the third time to discuss waterways and inland transport – particularly in relation to the waterway E70.
