
The construction and expansion of ports, marinas and mooring jetties, canoe trail infrastructure and new cycling lanes: they will all become reality owing to the projects which, by decision of the Executive Board of the Pomorskie Voivodeship (Province), have received funding from the 2014-2020 Regional Operational Programme of the Pomorskie Voivodeship. On Monday, 11 December 2017, in the Jazz Room of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk, the Voivodeship's Marshals Mieczysław Struk and Wiesław Byczkowski, along with member of the Pomorskie Voivodeship Executive Board Ryszard Świlski, signed contracts with the heads of Pomorskie municipalities through which they will receive EU funding.
On 29 November this year in Toruń, a meeting of the IWWs E70 and E40 Working Teams was held, dedicated to the use of the Vistula for the purposes of water management, inland shipping, flood protection and tourism. The meeting's attendees included the representatives of Poland's Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Waterways, Port of Gdańsk Authority, Gdańsk Regional Water Management Authority, Gdynia Maritime Office, Bydgoszcz Inland Waterways Authority and the following voivodeships (provinces): Lubuskie, Wielkopolskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Mazowieckie, Lubelskie, Pomorskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie.
