Rybina (14.98 km). Swing bridge for narrow-gauge railway. The bridge’s clearance is about 2.7 m and depends on the actual water level. A truly marvellous construction with three spans. The first one is made of steel, the second one is the bridge itself – made of riveted beams supported by a vertical pillar that serves as the axis for the bridge’s rotation. It is operated manually and relies on a system of gears and transmissions. The bridge undergoes renovation between 2021-22. During this period, only technical trains will be allowed to cross and the bridge will be closed exclusively for their passage for 40-60 minutes.
The bridge is open in season from morning to evening, should there be no repair works. The bridge closes for the trains to cross it. Out of season, it is opened only after prior notice. Information about the closing times can be found on the website of the Żuławy Commuter Railway (www.kolejzulawska.pl), under the tab: “Aktualności”.
