All the locks on the Polish section of the IWW E70 can only be opened on request and at set hours. You are required to contact the lock operating team 30 minutes before arriving at the lock (contact details available below). At high water levels, the following locks on the Vistula River are closed: Gdańska Głowa, Przegalina, and Biała Góra.

Technical specifications
20 out of 28 locks have dimensions that are typical for the entire IWW E70, i.e. about 57 m in length and 9.6 m in width. The exceptions are the Krostkowo lock (57 m long, 8.8 m wide), the Czersko Polskie lock (115 m long, 12 m wide), the Gdańska Głowa lock (61 m long, 12.5 m wide), and four locks on the Nogat River (57 m long, 9.5 m wide).
