On Saturday, 6 July 2025, on the waters of the Vistula Lagoon near Krynica Morska, the fourteenth Marshal’s Cup Regatta was held. Under favourable weather, 20 crews took part in competitions in the KWR and OPEN categories. Krynica Morska was the regatta port, and the competitions took place in an even, fairly strong wind.
The seniors’ races were held in three groups (KWR 1,2 and OPEN). In the first group, the crew of the yacht “Mote” commanded by Marek Nienadowski came in first, ahead of “Litwinka” captained by Marian Drabiński and “White Hawk” led by Kamil Wesołowski. Meanwhile, in the second group, first place was taken by “Moka” captained by Tomasz Siekierko, ahead of Grzegorz Bajdan’s “Błękitna Bryza” and Robert Wojtusiak’s “Entuzjasta”. And in the OPEN group, the yacht “Notre Dame” with skipper Dzimytry Szaparau was victorious, beating Rafał Walentynowicz’s “Blue Velvet” and Grzegorz Pionke’s “Silije” to the finish line.
The sailing competitions on the water were accompanied by attractions on land which enticed many participants. The family cycling competitions, for example, were very popular. Meanwhile, the whole event finished with a sea-shanty concert performed by the group Kamrat and the star of the evening “TrzyMajtki”.
The Marshal’s Cup Regatta, besides its sporting nature, has the purpose of promoting sailing on the Vistula Lagoon. It also fosters the strengthening of relations and cooperation between residents of the Pomorskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodships.
Finally, it is worth emphasizing that this successful event was organized through cooperation of the group for the International Waterway E70 with regional governments of the Pomorskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodships, in partnership with the Town of Krynica Morska and the Pomeranian Sailing Association.
