On Saturday, 19 September, two extremely important facilities were officially opened.
In the first place, the Marina Santok was opened, which will serve not only boaters, but also residents and tourists visiting the municipality. The marina has a basin with full sanitary facilities and a water equipment rental shop offering kayaks, rowing boats, motorboats as well as tourist bikes. The harbour also has four holiday cottages with a total of sixteen beds. The facility was opened by the Village Mayor of Santok Paweł Pisarek and the Mayor of the partner city Rüdersdorf bei Berlin Sabine Löser. The ceremony was attended by Krystyna Sibińska, Member of the Polish Parliament, Elżbieta Rafalska, Member of the European Parliament, Łukasz Porycki, Deputy Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, Tadeusz Jędrzejczak, Member of the Lubuskie Voivodeship Board, Wioletta Haręźlak, Chairwoman of the Lubuskie Regional Council and Sabine Löser, Mayor of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin. The gathered guests pointed out not only the modern appearance of the Marina, but also its functionality and the important role it will play in the future, as it is located on the International Waterway IWW E70.
Then, the Deputy Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, Łukasz Porycki, officially opened the Santok Castle Museum, presenting a modern exhibition supplemented by attractive multimedia shows.
During the ceremony, the Village Mayor, together with Renata Nowosad, the Chairwoman of the Municipality Council, and the Director of the J. Dekert Lubuskie Museum, symbolically planted the Santocki Oak, which is a clone of the oldest and best known Bartek Oak.
