Failure of the Most Uniwersytecki Bridge in Bydgoszcz

On 29 January 2021, the Most Uniwersytecki Bridge in Bydgoszcz was taken out of service due to its poor technical condition. The expert opinion carried out indicates a design defect. On 1 March 2021, a contract was signed to support the bridge. The protection and repair work will take approximately 2 months from the date of signing the contract, depending on weather conditions. During the next stage, which involves the repair of the bridge, documentation will be drawn up for further repair work on the structure, which will begin only when the entire structure is relieved from its load.
