University Bridge in Bydgoszcz is again open.

In the opinion of experts, damage to cable fastening components was caused by a design error. During repairs, additional reinforcing metal sheets were installed, intended to prevent the risk of a construction catastrophe. Monitoring sensors were also installed, which allow on-going checks of the technical condition and enable the bridge to remain open.
The city government intends to take legal action in order to recover the renovation costs and compensation for the period when the bridge could not be used.
