On 10 – 11 September 2025 in Włocławek, a study visit was held involving signers of the agreement for development of the Polish section of International Waterway E70. It was hosted by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship, and it also involved the participation of representatives of the Pomorskie, Lubuskie, Warmińsko – Mazurskie and Wielkopolskie Voivodships. Additionally, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and local governments were invited.
The first day involved a local inspection of terrain along the Vistula River and the marina. During this visit, the town was presented by the deputy-mayor of Włocławek, Jarosław Zdanowski, who shared his knowledge. Directly after this, there was a meeting of the Working Group for IWW E70 and the Ministry of Infrastructure, at which the main point of discussion was work on the government program determining modernisation and maintenance activities along the course of IWW E70.
The next day we visited the barrage in Włocławek. First, thanks to the courtesy of Energa Wytwarzanie, we visited the Dam and got to know its functioning from inside. Then we moved on to the nearby Water Supervision Office, where we visited the sluice gate and the icebreaker port. At the end of the visit, we familiarised ourselves with the waterfront management of the Włocławski Reservoir, including the Town Marina and the Zarzeczewo Marina.
