Conference objectives
The conference aims at explaining important aspects of waterway development in Poland, from tourism and culture, through issues of responsibility for the environment and local community, to the economy. The meeting will include a presentation of the activities and initiatives of the central government and local governments related to work for the revitalisation of inland waterway transport.
The subject matter of the meeting falls within the long-term cooperation between the central government and local governments for restoration of the importance of the Lower Vistula River and the Polish section of the International Waterway E70 for the national and European economy through a national programme of waterways activation, involving development of the regions situated along them, in accordance with the principle of sustainable development and taking into account economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects.
Conference participants
Councillors of the Lubuskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Wielkopolskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeships – signatories of the MDW E70 agreements, experts, MPs, local government officials, representatives of the central government, transport companies from the maritime and inland waterway sector, scientific circles, ecologists and boaters.

Sightseeing / study visit
The conference programme includes a free guided tour of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk. Those interested in visiting the museum are to meet in front of the museum entrance on 27 November (Wednesday) at 9:50 am. Registration of visitors via the registration form. Groups can have up to 15 people.
Moreover, on 28 November (Thursday), a study visit to the Sea Port of Gdańsk SA is planned for conference participants. The gathering of people for the visit, beginning with a cruise, is on Długie Pobrzeże near the Brama Chlebnicka Gate and Żuraw (the Crane) at 8:50 am (Thursday). Next, participants from the Westerplatte passenger harbour will go by coach to the DCT Gdańsk container terminal and then to the Harbour Master’s Office at the Northern Port. Registration of people interested in the study visit via the registration form.
We reserve the right to change the times and meeting places; final information will be given at the conference.
Accommodation
The conference organizer does not provide accommodation.
It is possible to book accommodation on your own, at Qubus Hotel at the promotional rate of PLN 220 per day for a single room with breakfast. This price is valid until 15 November 2019. The following personal data will be collected from the Conference Participants: name and surname, email address, name of institution, image, identity document number.
Your personal data is processed for the purpose of organizing and conducting the Conference, including the establishment of a list of Participants on the basis of Article 6(1)(e), i.e. in the public interest in accordance with the Act on Government of the Voivodeship and in connection with the Act of 4 September, 2008, on the protection of shipping and seaports, and then on the basis of the Act of 14 July, 1983, on the National Archival Resources and Archives, i.e. in connection with the fulfilment of the legal obligation incumbent on the administrator, and therefore on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.
The personal data regarding your image is processed on the basis of art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR in order to be published on the websites mdwe70.pl and pomorskie.eu as well as on the FB profile of the Pomorskie Voivodeship Government, and to inform about the conference and its promotion – i.e. in accordance with the given consent.
Your data will be transferred to other entities to whom we will contract services related to the processing of personal data (e.g. entities providing IT services). Such entities will process data on the basis of a contract concluded with us and only on our instructions. In addition, data will also be presented to DCT Gdańsk S.A. with its main office in Gdańsk, at ul. Kontenerowa 7, 80-601 Gdańsk, Poland, solely for the purpose of the study visit to the terminal, as provided for by regulations on access to port facilities and their security.
Your consent to processing of your personal data regarding publication of your image may be withdrawn at any time after sending a statement of withdrawal of consent to zatoka@pomorskie.eu. Your withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that has been carried out on the basis of your consent before its withdrawal. As a consequence of your refusal to give consent, it will be impossible to publish this data on the above-mentioned websites and profiles, subject to Article 81, paragraph 2 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights.
Your personal data will be stored until the end of the archiving period in force, i.e. 25 years.
You have the right to require the controller to grant you access to your personal data and to correct or delete it, as well as to restrict its processing.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
Providing personal data contained in the application form is voluntary, although a consequence of not providing the above-mentioned personal data is not being able to take part in the conference.
