On 11-12 May 2019, Szczecin hosted the 28th edition of the Market Tour Tourist Fair Szczecin 2019, the largest tourist fair in the West Pomerania region.
On 11-12 May 2019, Szczecin hosted the 28th edition of the Market Tour Tourist Fair Szczecin 2019, the largest tourist fair in the West Pomerania region.
The Picnic on the Oder River, which is the common name of the event, has the character of a family festival with playgrounds, an amusement park and musical performances. Visitors could take part in competitions and win attractive prizes.
There were also presentations by entrepreneurs of the tourism industry, such as travel agencies, hotels, resorts, recreation centres, sanatoriums, distributors of sailing, sports and tourist equipment, as well as hotel and catering equipment. Both Polish and foreign regions presented numerous tourist attractions. The Picnic on the Oder River is also a great opportunity to showcase regional food products included on the List of Traditional Products. This year, the three largest booths of this kind were those of the Lubuskie, Wielkopolskie and Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeships. Owing to the wonderful weather, attendance at the event was impressive.
The booth of the International Waterway E70 was very popular among water sports enthusiasts and other visitors willing to take up activities or relaxation on the water.
