According to the Polish Water Management Authority, the Regional Water Management Board in Bydgoszcz, as of 5 June 2020, Lock No. 22 in Krzyż will be decommissioned, and therefore the navigable route of the Vistula - Oder inland waterway will be closed to navigation on km 176+200. The work is scheduled to be completed by 30 October 2020.
In addition, due to a sudden failure, Lock no. 4 in Czyżówko, located on the Bydgoszcz Canal on km 015+970, is shut down as of 23 June 2020 until further notice.
