The eighth Weekend Tourism Trade Fair “Attractions of Regions” took place on 25-27 September 2020 in the Silesian Park in Chorzów. The exhibitors promoted unique places and facilities. Owing to the attractive location of the fair, a large group of active residents of Silesia became acquainted with the offer of the Exhibitors - the Voivodeship Park of Culture and Recreation in Chorzów is located on the border of three cities: Chorzów, Katowice and Siemianowice Śląskie.
The Attractions of Regions Trade Fair is a real treat for lovers of travel and active leisure. At the fair everyone could find an inspiring destination: from the sea, through woods and forests, lake districts, picturesque valleys, green hills, caves and rocks, to the mountainous areas of Lower Silesia, the Beskids, Lesser Poland and Greater Poland and the beautiful regions of the Lubuskie, Świętokrzyskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie and Pomorskie Voivodeships, as well as the attractions of the Gran Canaria regions.
The exhibitors invited visitors to cycling, horse riding, hiking and underground routes, kayaking and rafting trips, cruises on international waterways, as well as culinary and wine trails. Their offer also included observation towers and historical curiosities, attractive amusement parks and thermal swimming pools!
Additionally, visitors had an opportunity to learn about comprehensive offers presented by voivodeships, towns, districts and municipalities. At the fair, they not only found folders and maps, but also had a chance to talk to guides, custodians and representatives of associations and local action groups. The enthusiasts present at the exhibitors’ booths shared their knowledge of the regions.
Naturally, among the exhibitors there were representatives of hotels, guesthouses and agritourism farms who presented holiday packages in an offer specially arranged for the fair. Visitors could take part in competitions and win attractive prizes.
The programme of the 8th edition of the fair was extremely rich. A variety of attractions awaited the visitors, including meetings with interesting travellers – Beata Pawlikowska and Anna and Marcin Nowak, authors of the popular and award-winning blog Gdziewyjechac.pl and the Wędrowne Motyle channel.
The booth of the International Waterway E70 was very popular with visitors.
