1. Hydrological and navigational conditions of the Polish section of the International Waterway E70 – the publication is original material based on, inter alia, on numerous field work by employees of the Department of Waterway Revitalization, operating at the Institute of Geography. It presents the research results of the waterway section from the Oder to the Brda, the lower Vistula and water routes within the Vistula delta. The monograph also characterizes the current navigational parameters of the waterway, including the depth conditions in the navigation route, marking or the location of bottlenecks. Moreover, the publication includes an analysis of hydrological data from the last 30 years, an assessment of the supply conditions on individual sections of the waterway and an analysis of the ecological situation based on on the hydroecomorphological assessment of the waterway.
2. The role of the International Waterway E70 in regional and local development – the publication focuses on issues related to the use of the E70 waterway. An important element of the communication and transport system, as well as having significant tourist values. Affecting development processes in the regional and local system. The publication presents the commitment of the provinces – signatories of the MDW E70 agreements in the revitalization of the aforementioned waterway, the history of the construction of the Odra-Vistula waterway, as well as the spatial development and structure of selected riverside cities. It also raises the issues of city waterfront along the MDW E70. An important part of the publication is the presentation of water tourism products. The monograph analyzes selected national and regional strategies and development plans relating to inland waterways, in particular MDW E70. In addition, an assessment of the implementation status of the MDW E70 program and spatial concept was carried out in the layout of individual voivodeships, in terms of selected investment tasks for the development of water tourism on the Polish section of the MDW E70.
